Meet Dr. Chris Wenburg, DDS — Kansas City's Country Club Plaza Dentist

Dr. Chris Wenburg earned his dental degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry in 2006, then went on to complete a specialized residency in Implant, Cosmetic, and Reconstructive Dentistry at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Dentistry — giving him advanced expertise in dental implants, cosmetic procedures, and full-mouth reconstruction. 

Dr. Wenburg is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Greater Kansas City Dental Society, and Missouri Dental Association.

In his own words: "I got into dentistry because I genuinely enjoy helping people feel good about their smile — and their health. My approach is simple: I take the time to listen, explain your options clearly, and never recommend treatment you don't actually need. Whether it's your first cleaning or a complete smile makeover, I want you to leave our office feeling better than when you walked in." 

Dr. Wenburg has dedicated his professional career to continued learning and development. He spends much of his free time away from work expanding his dental knowledge by reading new material, taking courses, and attending lectures. Dr. Wenburg is passionate about patient care and making sure patients' needs are met.

In 2011, Dr. Wenburg received the prestigious Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry — an honor earned by fewer than 7% of dentists in the country, recognizing a commitment to advanced education and the highest standard of patient care. He serves as a peer-reviewer for the AGD's journal General Dentistry, and sits on the American Dental Association's Clinical Evaluators (ACE) Panel, helping evaluate new dental products and techniques before they reach patients. 

Dr. Wenburg worked with Dr. Rodriguez when he lived in Kansas City previously, and he can't be more thrilled to be back to work with him and his team. Originally from Nebraska, Dr. Wenburg has owned and operated dental practices in Nebraska and Colorado before returning to Kansas City in 2020 to join Dr. Jose Rodriguez at the Country Club Plaza. Dr. Wenburg and Dr. Rodriguez had worked together in Kansas City previously, and their reunion brought a combined 35+ years of dental experience to a single, full-service practice at 801 W 47th St. — right in the heart of the Plaza. Together, they serve patients of all ages across the Kansas City metro.
